CYE PETROL TIC LTD STI was founded on May 12th, 1988
           
The company’s first experience in business was her being involved in the petroleum products trade of Iraq with Europe during the Iraq – Iran war, through Turkey by the so called “truck pipe line” which started in Iraq and ended at terminals like Iskenderun and Mersin in Turkey.

The company, at the same time, represented major European petroleum products trading companies in supply of products to or during purchases from TUPRAS and PETKIM as well as other major petroleum distribution companies located in Turkey.

The company is still continuing with this line of business. The company started bunker fuel trading in 1992 as a new branch of business. CYE Petrol Tic. Ltd. Şti. is the first physical bunker supplier established and located in Gulf of Izmit.

The company is a Physical Bunker Supplier of MGO and IFO grades since May 1992 in Turkey. CYE Petrol Bunker Terminal is conveniently located  in Gulf of Izmit at POLIPORT for bunker supplies in Istanbul roads. All grades of high quality marine products are prepared with In-Tank Blending and Line Blending facilities. CYE Petrol is one of the most qualified Physical Bunker Suppliers with more than 20 years experience and over 30,000 bunker supplies in Istanbul.

Bunker deliveries are managed professionally by a bunker barge fleet under CYE Petrol’s control. In 2006 the Company decided to reshape the bunker barge fleet’s substructure according to demand from growing bunker market in Istanbul and Black Sea Ports. In 2007, the number of bunker barges were decreased. Instead, well equipped bunker barges with higher technologies, better performance were introduced for bunker deliveries.The company obtained the advantage of supplying high quality product to more vessels, with larger volumes in most time efficient way.

As of  November 2008, considering the demand for higher quantity FO mostly from container lines and cruise lines in Istanbul, CYE Petrol put into operation the biggest bunker barge in Istanbul, M/T BEBEK-E. She has 3300 MT FO/HFO supply capacity with 650 MT/hour pumping rate. M/T BEBEK-E complies with  “ Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs’ declared new regulations” for safety and operation standards according to MARPOL 73/78 Agreements, ISPS Code and SOLAS Amendments 2002. In 2009, necessary modifications were completed to provide segregation of low sulphur materials in The Bunker Terminal and bunker barges. As of February 2009, CYE Petrol started storing/supplying low sulphur MGO (0,1%) from her bunker terminal. The company bunkers in all Istanbul Ports, in the Sea of Marmara (Bandırma, Mudanya, Gemlik, Tekirdağ) in The Black Sea coasts of Turkey (Karadeniz Ereğli, Bartın, Zonguldak) and naturally in the Gulf of Izmit (Derince, Yarımca,  Hereke, Gebze, etc.).

CYE Petrol Tic. Ltd. Sti. holds the Physical Bunker Supplier Licence of “ EPDK (Energy Market Regulatory Authority)” no: IHR/482-4/11098 which permits her to be in the same business for 15 years after 04/05/2005. The company acts as a trader in other Turkish ports and around the world for supplying bunker fuel.
